About Me

I am a Computer Engineering student at Virginia Tech in search of professional connections, internships, and cooperative development programs that can connect with my major and Green Engineering minor. I have almost 4 years of experience as a Generac Power Systems technician and worked at CFR Engineering as an electrical intern.

CFR Engineering Internship

At CFR I was able to get hands-on with the electrical design process for commercial and industrial buildings during renovation projects. Some of the training and experience I received include:

  • Transformer basics, sizing, types, and specifications
  • Distrubution and branch panel basics, sizing, and specifications
  • Circuit breaker basics, sizing, and specifications
  • Industry-standard conventions for power sheets including symbols, single line diagrams, panel schedules, etc
  • Power layout and design for spaces such as electrical rooms, conference rooms, data closets, office spaces, labs, clean rooms, etc (use of AutoCAD and Revit)
  • Basics of designing and documenting fire alarm systems and lighting (AGi32)

Generac Technician

In my almost 4 years working both full and part-time with Generac, I have had ample experience installing (NEC), wiring, servicing, and repairing both air-cooled and liquid-cooled units ranging from 8kW-70kW in residential and commercial.

Extra Curriculars

As a proud Eagle Scout, I am President of the Campus Scouts at Virginia Tech where we serve the local troops with organized events. I also volunteer with the American Red Cross, assisting with blood drives and fundraising.

Passions and Projects

By always having an interest in electronics and related hobbies since a child, I have completed a number of cool projects including a custom built 3D-printer, a Minecraft server for my dorm building, and even a home Linux server you are accessing this website through. Check out my projects page to hear me ramble about these projects!
